Primary Purpose of the Role:
An Invigilator ensures that the exam rules and regulations (CPA Exam Regulations) are upheld while assisting the Supervisor and IT Proctor(s) at an exam centre.
Compensation
- Hourly, contracted for each exam session
- $29.00/hour
Reporting and Work Relationships:
Invigilators report directly to the exam Supervisor during an exam. For all other contract related processes an invigilator will work with the Exam Contractor Management Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising candidates during exam sessions.
- Assisting the Supervisor and IT Proctor(s) at the exam centre.
- Ensuring exam rules are adhered to.
- Ensuring the security and safekeeping of exam materials.
Training
All contractors will be required to attend meetings and complete ongoing training.
Applications
There is a 3-stage application process for becoming an Invigilator:
Stage 1: Application
This stage will require you to complete interview questions, submit your resume (no cover letter required) and review an introduction video. Our goal is to determine if you meet the necessary requirements while also ensure you have a clear understanding of the role.

Once your stage 1 submission has been reviewed and if approved, you will be granted access to stage 2 of the application process.
Stage 2: Orientation
During stage 2, you will be assigned a contractor ID and given partial access to the Contractor Platform (D2L).
You will be required to complete additional training along with tasks to ensure you have a more detailed understanding of our exam processes and the invigilator role you are applying for. Once completed you will automatically gain access to stage 3.
Stage 3: Prospective Contractor
In stage 3 you will gain full access to the Contractor Platform (D2L), where you will see additional resources and exam specific information. You will also be eligible to receive contracts.
All Prospective Contractors will be assigned a seasoned contractor for a minimum of two exam sessions. The seasoned contractor will assist you with any questions you have, and they will also evaluate your performance.
Once you have successfully completed this stage, you will be added to our contractor pool.
