Tutoring
CPAWSB provides Candidates the opportunity to connect with tutors (CPA Members; post-secondary educators; recent successful CFE writers) who are familiar with CPA PEP and the CFE and have indicated that they are willing to provide paid tutoring services to Learners.
At the beginning of each session, we post a list of tutors in the D2L newsfeed to assist Learners in connecting with a tutor. For inquiries regarding the tutor list, please contact learnersupport@cpawsb.ca.
Note: CPAWSB does not administer any tutoring arrangements, and the tutoring relationships are established directly between the candidate and the tutor. Tutoring services will have associated tutor costs, as determined by each tutor.
Disclaimer: CPAWSB is not responsible for the integrity or quality of tutors or administering any fees/payments outstanding. CPAWSB is not involved beyond training CPAWSB tutor and providing the initial listing of qualified tutors to Learners.

Mentoring
Connect with recent successful CFE writers who volunteered to coach and mentor candidates in their preparation for the upcoming CFE. Mentor support may include sharing experiences related to their success, helping develop study plans and/or schedules, providing resources that may help with studying, and suggesting approaches to case writing.
CFE mentors are CPAWSB volunteers, and candidates should not expect to pay for any services that mentors offer.
To request a listing of CFE mentors, please send an email to learnersupport@cpawsb.ca
Peer Studying
Many Candidates find that having a study partner, whether in-person or online, is an excellent source of support during a PEP module to review concepts or for examination preparation. To assist those Candidates who are unable to easily find a peer to study with, due to either geographic location or nature of their employment, CPAWSB has created a list of Candidates looking to form a peer study group. Once a Candidate provides consent for CPAWSB to release their contact information (first name; email address; location), they will be added to the list as well as receive access to it. Candidates may then connect in-person or online with their peers to support one another throughout their PEP module. Common uses for peer study groups are to cross-mark cases and assignments or to form technical study groups.
Accommodations
Candidates may request an academic accommodation through “My CPA Portal” in the case of extenuating circumstances that may affect their ability to participate in a module or attempt its examination. Candidates must provide appropriate documentation, and additional information may be requested to approve the requested accommodation.
