CPA PEP Enrollment

CPA PEP admission applications are accepted throughout the year, not just during the designated module registration periods. Approval times are typically shorter for applications submitted outside module registration periods as volumes are lower.

To enroll in CPA PEP, submit a CPA PEP admission application via My CPA portal. Submitting an admission application is different from registering in a CPA PEP module, which can only happen after the admission application is approved, and only during the module registration period.

Admission applications are typically processed in two-to-three business days. Because module registration can only happen after admission application approval, submit admission applications at least three business days before module registration closes to ensure the admission application is processed with enough time to register for a module. The School cannot guarantee that admission applications submitted within three days of module registration closing will be approved in time to register for the module.

CPA PEP admission applications are accepted while transcript assessments are processed. If the transcript assessment determines an applicant is ineligible to participate in a module, CPAWSB will withdraw the applicant and issue a full refund of the module registration fee.

How to Submit an Admission Application

  • Log into My CPA portal: Click on Program Admission >> Admission Application.
  • Select the appropriate session: This selection depends on whether you are seeking credit for practical experience completed before participating in your first module and determines the first annual dues amount.
Applicant Employment Status Recommended Session to Select on Admission Application
Not employed in an accounting-related role The session you intend to start your first module.
Employed in an accounting-related role and want current experience recognized The session currently open for registration, even if not registering in a module.
Employed in an accounting-related role but do not want current experience recognized The session you intend to start your first module.
  • Select the appropriate registration category: Registration categories are listed in the table below. Please ensure you select the appropriate category to avoid delays in the processing of your application.

Academic Session and Fees

To continue to be able to register in modules and accumulate experience towards the CPA practical experience requirements, candidates are required to pay annual dues and complete annual re-enrollment. When calculating annual dues required to accompany an admission application, the amount is calculated based on the session selected on the admission application, not the date the application is submitted. When deciding which session to select on the admission application, please note that the CPAWSB academic year runs from April 1 through March 31 of the following year and does not correspond to the calendar year.

Session Selected on Admission Application Annual Dues Amount
Spring or Summer Full year ($1,020 for 2020/2021 academic year)
Fall or Winter Half-year ($510 for 2020/2021 academic year)

Note: Co-op and Summer Students will always be invoiced for half-year dues, regardless of the session selected on the admission application.

A one-time, non-refundable initial registration fee in addition to the applicable annual dues is required when submitting an admission application. Please refer to the CPA PEP Fee Schedule for a complete list of the current year’s fees.
