Student Travel and Accommodation Coordination
• Liaise directly with learners to arrange travel, hotel bookings, and local transportation.
• Ensure travel plans are responsive to individual needs and geographic considerations.
• Coordinate transportation between hotels and classroom venues.
Venue and Event Logistics
• Book classrooms and learning spaces for program sessions.
• Coordinate logistics for special events, including catering and attendance management.
Expense and Per Diem Management
• Process and track learner expense claims related to travel and meals.
• Administer per diem allowances in accordance with organizational policies.
Student Support and Communication
• Maintain empathetic and regular communication with learners to address logistical concerns.
• Provide proactive support to help learners navigate travel challenges and last-minute changes.
Program Expansion Support
• Assist with logistics for other education programs, including facilities bookings and equipment management.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an office environment with increasing independence in decision-making (equivalencies will be considered, with one year of education equaling one year of experience, and vice versa).
• Experience in travel coordination, event planning, or program administration.
• Experience working with students and Indigenous communities or programs is considered an asset.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience with Microsoft Dynamics or similar CRM systems is an asset.
• Demonstrated knowledge and respect for Indigenous cultures, histories, and traditions.
• Preference will be given to Indigenous applicants, as defined under Section 35(2) of the Constitution Act, 1982, which recognizes Aboriginal peoples as Indian (First Nations), Inuit, and Métis.
