The CPA profession in Canada is updating the CPA certification program. This includes refreshing the CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP), its exams, and the practical experience requirements. Collectively, these re-imagined components form the CPA Professional Program.
Candidates currently enrolled in CPA PEP will have an opportunity to finish the program; however, there is a transition path to the CPA Professional Program for those who are unable to complete their current program. Click below for more information:

Important to know: The final CFE will be offered in September 2028 and you have until December 31, 2028, to complete your practical experience requirements.
The last offering of Core 1 (the first CPA PEP module) begins in January 2027. The last offering of the Core 1 exam is June 2027.
Important to know: If you start Core 1 in January 2027, you will have a path to reach the September 2028 CFE.
If you are close to completing the requirements for admission into CPA PEP, you have time to start or complete CPA PEP before the CPA Professional Program launches.
Important to know: CPA preparatory courses will be offered until at least December 2026 and we are considering options to extend for one year. We anticipate sharing the final offering dates later this year.
