Apply to CPA PEP as a CPA Preparatory Course Student

Before applying to CPA PEP, ensure you meet the 10-Year Currency of Education Requirement. To be eligible for admission, you must have completed at least one applicable course in each CPA competency area within the 10 years before your application:

  • Financial Reporting
  • Strategy and Governance
  • Management Accounting
  • Audit and Assurance
  • Finance
  • Taxation

Before You Apply

These instructions apply to students who are currently enrolled in CPA Preparatory Courses and have paid student dues for the current academic year (April 1 to March 31).

To transition to CPA PEP:

  • Ensure final grades have been received for all required CPA Preparatory Courses or approved post-secondary equivalents before the start of your Core 1 module.
  • Review the CPA PEP Schedule for upcoming Core 1 start dates.
  • No new transcript assessment is required for current CPA Preparatory Course students.

Important: Follow the application instructions carefully to ensure the correct fees are applied to your account.

Submit your admission application well in advance, or at least five days before CPA PEP module registration closes.

Before registering, ensure your Transcript Assessment shows a result of PEP Eligible or PEP Conditional Core 1.

To start the application process, log in to My CPA Portal and follow the steps below.

  1. Go to “PROGRAM ADMISSION” > “ADMISSION APPLICATION”.
  2. Select the “PREP Graduate” registration category.
  3. Select your preferred PEP Session.
  4. Complete declarations and consent as prompted.
  5. Pay the initial registration fee.
  6. Upload government issued ID.

This completes the submission of your Admission Application. Your application will be reviewed and approved within three business days.

If you have completed any outstanding courses through:

  • Post-Secondary Institution: Submit or have your transcript forwarded to our office.
  • CPA Preparatory Courses (CPAWSB): You are not required to submit documentation. We will update your CPAWSB transcript manually after result release.

Your transcript assessment will reflect the completed prerequisite grade(s) before you start Core 1.

To avoid delays, ensure you have:

  • A university degree
  • 120 post-secondary credit hours
  • No expired core courses
  • Check your email for your admission approval.
  • Register and pay for Core 1 through My CPA Portal during the registration period.
  • Register before the deadline to avoid a non-refundable waitlist fee. You will be deemed ineligible to begin Core 1, and your module fee will be refunded.

If you have successfully completed all prerequisite courses, paid your student dues, and met the CPA PEP admission requirements, proceed to Step 5.

If you do not pass your final prerequisite course, you must register for the next available offering before the registration deadline.

Failure to do so will result in withdrawal from CPA PEP. You may reapply once you have met the prerequisite requirements.

Once Core 1 has begun, your account will be reviewed for outstanding fees. These additional fees will be calculated based on the CPA PEP candidate dues owed, less CPA preparatory course student dues paid for the applicable academic year (April 1 to March 31).
