Exam Contractors

CPA Canada has strict policies and regulations surrounding exams which must be adhered to.

CPAWSB relies on exam contractors to provide excellent service to exam writers while upholding the integrity and security of the exams. Exam contractors collaborate with each other and the Exam Contractor Management Team during exams to ensure all individuals are well informed and are committed to responding to any issues that may arise. The Exam Contractor Management Team strives to have a fair and open environment with contractors while ensuring all writers receive a similar experience across all exam writing centres.

There are three types of exam contractors:

Supervisor

Exam supervisors ensure exam processes and regulations are followed. 

They are also responsible for exam materials and managing a team at their location.

IT Proctor

IT proctors provide technical support to exam writers and document the issues experienced.

They also assist with monitoring writers during exams.

Invigilators

Invigilators monitor groups of writers and assist with any concerns that may arise.

They also ensure that exam processes and regulations are followed.

Exam Regulations

CPA Canada has strict policies regarding acceptable items exam writers can bring into the exam centre. Exam contractors are responsible for reviewing the regulations before each exam as they are updated regularly.
