Financing Your Education

CPA education, whether CPA preparatory courses or modules in the CPA Professional Education Program, is considered a part-time academic program that is designed for post-secondary graduates and working professionals. The CPA Western School of Business (CPAWSB) delivers CPA education, but is not a post-secondary institution and does not qualify for government student loans. Possible options for financing your education include grants, loans, scholarships and bursaries.

Financial Aid & Assistance

The CPA program is registered as a part-time academic program and therefore does not qualify for government student loans; however, many learners enroll in courses and modules in CPA preparatory courses and CPA PEP and receive financial assistance through other means. Bank Line of Credit

A line of credit is a flexible loan that allows you to borrow funds up to an approved credit limit, repay the amount borrowed, and access those funds again as needed.

While CPAWSB learners are generally not eligible for government student loans, a student line of credit may be an option to help finance your studies. Depending on your financial institution and credit profile, interest rates on lines of credit may be competitive; however, interest begins accruing as soon as funds are withdrawn.

For information about eligibility, rates, repayment terms, and application requirements, contact your financial institution. You may also wish to explore student line of credit programs offered by Canada's major banks:
