Exam Accommodations

CPAWSB provides reasonable exam accommodations for students and candidates who:

  • Need to bring medical items into the exam writing centre.
  • Require access to items that are otherwise restricted during an exam.
  • Live more than 150 km from the nearest approved exam location and require an alternate exam location.
  • Have a documented disability, including a physical, mental health, or learning disability, as defined under applicable human rights legislation.

A one-time accommodation applies to a single exam offering only.

An ongoing accommodation applies to all current and future CPA examinations. Once approved, it remains in effect throughout your CPA education journey.

When Should I Apply?

Submit your accommodation request at least 10 weeks before the exam date to allow sufficient time for review and processing.

In exceptional circumstances, such as an accident or compassionate situation, requests submitted within two weeks of the exam date may be considered if time permits.

How to Request an Exam Accommodation

  1. Log in to My CPA Portal.
  2. Submit your accommodation request.
  3. Complete the required accommodation forms.
  4. Gather any required supporting documentation.
  5. Submit the completed forms and supporting documentation to [email protected].

Note: Additional documentation may be required as part of the review process.
