Elective Level Scheduling

Traditional Elective Offerings

CPA PEP elective modules are offered on a traditional eight-week schedule.

Important:

  • Summer 2026 session is the final extended offering of CPA PEP electives.
  • Beginning in 2027, only traditional elective offerings will be available until 2028.

Traditional elective modules are offered four times per year:

  • Winter: Late January to late March
  • Spring: Early May to late June/Early July
  • Summer: Late July to late September
  • Fall: Mid-October to mid-December

For current elective offerings, registration periods, module dates, workshop dates, examination dates, results release dates, and remark deadlines, visit the CPAWSB PEP Schedules webpage.

Fast-Track Option

Candidates may complete two elective modules concurrently. However, candidates cannot enroll in two electives that share the same examination date.

The elective examination schedule is generally organized as follows:

  • Taxation and Finance exams occur on the same day.
  • Assurance and Performance Management exams occur on the same day.

As a result, candidates cannot take the above combinations simultaneously.

Final Elective Offerings

Winter 2028 is the final full session in which all CPA PEP electives will be offered.

Please note:

  • The final elective exams are scheduled to occur on the same date.
  • Candidates should plan their module schedule carefully to ensure completion before program transition deadlines.

Implications for Transition to the New CPA Professional Program

Candidates who do not successfully complete two CPA PEP elective modules (Assurance, Performance Management, Finance, or Taxation) by the end of the Winter 2028 session may be required to transition to the new CPA Professional Program, provided they meet the applicable transition eligibility requirements.

Candidates who do not meet the transition requirements will need to apply as new applicants to the new CPA Professional Program.

For information about transition eligibility and how completed modules will be recognized in the new program, refer to the Transition Path resource.
