August/ September 2021 CPA Preparatory Course Assessments

Additional details about the CPA preparatory course assessments scheduled between August 24 and September 2, 2021, are now available. As previously communicated, these assessments will not be held in-person at examination centres. Instead, they will be delivered remotely through Brightspace (D2L). 
 

Exam Format

The exams are two hours long and will comprise short- and long- answer questions. All responses will be marked for process, so it is important to document your work.

• Short answer questions:
  • General calculation or application type
  • May include theory
• Long answer questions:
  • Address major concepts

Computer Requirements

Ensure that you have:

• Reliable Internet access.  
• Word processor (i.e. “.docx” format) and spreadsheet (i.e. “.xlsx” format) applications installed on your computer.
• The hardware, operating system, software and other computer requirements specified in the Learning management system and computer requirements section of the CPA Canada Preparatory Courses Student Guide.

Students registered for an exam taking place in August/ September 2021 should carefully review the email sent on August 5, 2021, for important information on their upcoming exam(s).
