CPA PEP Associate Session Leader
For Capstone 2, associate session leaders assist session leaders in facilitating the two‐day, face‐to‐face workshop, with approximately 55-65 candidates attending. Session leaders oversee leading the workshop, while associate session leaders provide support by circulating the room and addressing individual or smaller group questions.
Requirements
Interested applicants must have a CPA designation, a university degree (master’s degree preferred), and previous in‐person teaching experience.
Ideally, associate session leaders will have a combination of the following experience:
- CFE marking
- Capstone 2 marking
- Capstone 2 Session Leader
- PEP Facilitator
Training
All potential associate session leaders will be required to attend an in-person training session, which may include a subsequent workshop shadowing component. CPAWSB does not pay for participating in or travelling to the training.
Completing the training is mandatory; however, this does not guarantee a position.
New associate session leaders will be offered contracts based on how they perform in the training activities and module registrations.
Compensation
Compensation is $1,450 per two‐day workshop. Travel expenses will be reimbursed, within defined guidelines.
Reimbursement for travel: We hire locally wherever possible, but this isn’t always an option. For more information about travel costs related to contracts with CPAWSB, please check our Designated Home City Policy.
