To enter the CPA Professional Program, you must demonstrate accounting and business knowledge. One way to meet this requirement is by completing coursework through the CPA preparatory courses.
Your next steps depend on when you complete your CPA preparatory courses:
If you complete your CPA preparatory courses… | What this means for you | What to do next |
By December 2026 | You may enter the final CPA PEP intake (January 2027) | Apply to the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) |
Between January and December 2027 | You may apply to the CPA Professional Program | Apply to the CPA Professional Program after completing your courses |
After December 2027 (or not completed) | CPA preparatory courses will no longer be available | Review transfer credit options and complete the remaining required coursework through a post-secondary institution |
You can complete your CPA preparatory courses through 2027 and then apply to the CPA Professional Program.
