Record Requests

CPA Transcripts 

You can request an official record of your progress in your CPA studies. Below we have outlined the request process, processing time, fees and mailing information:

  • Request CPA transcript: you can request a CPA transcript through My CPA portal (My CPA>>Program Requests>>Transcript Request).

  • Processing time: CPA transcript request will be processed within three-to-five business days. 
  • CPA transcript fee: the first copy is $30, and each additional copy is $4. 
    • CPA transcripts are available as hard or soft copies. 
  • CPA transcript mailing: if multiple hard copies are requested, they will be mailed to the same address in a single envelope. 
    • If you require each copy to be sent to the same address in separate envelopes or to have copies sent to different addresses, submit each request individually. 

CPAWSB cannot issue transcripts for any education that was completed while registered in a legacy accounting program. For CGA or CMA legacy education please contact your provincial body for more information on how to request a legacy program transcript. For CA legacy education please request a transcript through generalregistrations@casb.com.

What's Included On A Transcript

CPA Preparatory Courses

  • Grade (as a percentage) for each successfully completed course.  Exemptions or Transfer Credits for CPA equivalents completed at post-secondary institutions. 
  • Exception: Courses in progress or for which grades have not been released are not included in CPA preparatory course transcripts. 

CPA PEP

  • Pass or fail grade for each completed module
  • Failed module attempts

Exception: Modules in progress or for which grades have not been released are not included in CPA PEP transcripts.

Status Letter Instructions

You can request a Status Letter, which confirms your enrollment in CPA studies. Below we have outlined the request process, processing time, fees and mailing information:

  • Request Status Letter: request a Letter of Status through My CPA portal (My CPA>>Program Requests>>Status Letter Request).
  • Processing time: Standard processing time for status letters is three-to-five business days. 
  • Status Letter fee: Soft (email) copies are available at no cost; hard copies are available at a cost of $30 for the first copy and $4 for each additional copy. 
    • Status Letters are available as hard or soft copies. 
  • Status Letter mailing: If multiple hard copies are requested, they will be mailed to the same address in a single envelope. 
    • If you require copies to be sent to different addresses, or in separate envelopes, please submit each request individually.

Please note: CPA Western School of Business is not specified as a Designated Educational Institution under the Canada Student Loans Act and the School does not have the proper institution code for completion of this form. We offer a part-time professional program, not a full-time post-secondary program. Please refer to Financing Your Education webpage, for more information about other options to finance your education.                 

Registrations submitted after the status letter request will not be included in the letter. CPA preparatory course status letters do not contain current course registrations. 

Confirmation of enrollment status letters include your progress to date. Module registrations submitted after the status letter request will not be included in the letter. 

CPAWSB cannot issue a letter of good standing for former candidates who have already received the CPA designation. Members should contact their provincial CPA body if they require confirmation that they are currently an active CPA in good standing. 

Note: Status letters can only be issued for enrolled CPA PEP candidates or CPA preparatory course students. Applicants into CPA PEP need to wait until their admission application has been approved to request a status letter.

Study Permits

You must have a valid study permit prior to submitting your application to the School. As the School only delivers the educational portion of the CPA certification program we are unable to assist with work permit applications.
