Preparing for the CFE goes beyond technical knowledge – it’s about learning how to apply that knowledge effectively under pressure. The CFE Case Writing Practice Session is designed to help CFE candidates develop the skills needed to succeed in a real exam environment.

Here’s how this session helps set you up for success at your upcoming CFE attempt:

Simulating Exam Conditions

You will write a full sample Day 3 CFE case under exam-like conditions, helping you build stamina, focus, and confidence while working within strict time limits.

Strengthening Time Management

You will practice allocating your time across the Assessment Opportunities (AOs) present in the Day 3 case, learn about the importance of avoiding over-writing AOs, and maintaining a steady exam writing pace. These are skills essential for performing effectively during the CFE.

Learn through Peer-to-Peer Feedback

The event emphasizes peer review and self-debrief. By engaging with different approaches and writing styles, you gain valuable insight into what makes an effective response. This event reinforces that success is not about finding a single “perfect” answer, but about delivering a clear, well-structured analysis.

You will also learn strategies for identifying knowledge gaps, tracking your progress, and understanding how responses are evaluated. In addition, you will have opportunities to connect with peers and form study groups for ongoing support.
The CFE Case Writing Practice Session isn’t just about writing another case -- it’s about learning how to think, manage your time, and perform when it matters most. It focuses more on the process and experience of exam writing, rather than technical debriefing.
