Next Steps for Successful Candidates
Practical Experience
In addition to successfully completing the CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP) modules and the Common Final Examination (CFE), candidates need to complete 30 months of relevant practical experience, including development of required competencies, to be eligible for membership with a provincial CPA body.

Outstanding Practical Experience and Program Transition
If you have successfully completed the CFE but still have practical experience requirements outstanding, we encourage you to continue working toward completing your practical experience requirements under CPA PEP. Your provincial CPA body can help you understand your remaining requirements and support you in planning toward completion.
Depending on your program time limit and individual circumstances, you may also be eligible to transition to the new CPA Professional Program. If you are eligible and choose to transition, your successful CFE completion will be recognized in the new program. Membership Application
If you have successfully completed all three days of the CFE and your practical experience requirements, congratulations — your next step is to initiate your membership application with your provincial accounting body.
Each province will have the relevant forms and information regarding membership applications and convocation on its provincial website.
Re-mark Requests
Candidates who are successful with depth in Assurance (role) but who failed on depth in Financial Reporting can request a re-mark of their result. Successful CFE candidates, other than those noted above, cannot request a re-mark of their results.
