We are currently seeking a Director, Financial Services and Systems to provide strategic leadership across CPAWSB’s financial planning and analysis, finance operations, and financial systems.
Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Services, the Director is a key partner to the Executive Team, translating strategy into financial insight, enabling effective decision-making, and supporting long-term organizational sustainability.
The Director will lead the evolution of financial services and systems, ensure modern, efficient, and scalable processes while strengthening financial governance, reporting, and organizational capability.
What the Successful Candidate Will Bring
Education
- CPA designation, required
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
Experience
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role
- Demonstrated expertise in financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and modeling
- Experience supporting executive and board-level decision-making, including preparation of clear, concise, and insightful financial reports, statements and supporting documentation.
- Proven experience in finance transformation, systems implementation, or process improvement
- Strong understanding of financial management, internal controls, and compliance
- Experience in not-for-profit or multi-stakeholder environments is an asset
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial systems (Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains) considered an asset

This role is eligible for hybrid work. The CPAWSB is based primarily in Edmonton, Calgary, and Vancouver. If based outside of these centers, the successful candidate may be required to travel to a CPAWSB office from time to time, or as required.
The salary range for this role is $110,600 to $165,900. We recognize the value of directly comparable experience. Candidates bringing recent experience performing equivalent work may be eligible for salary and benefit placement that reflects that experience, in accordance with organizational compensation policies.
