CPA PEP admission applications are accepted throughout the year. You should submit your admission application based either on the session you plan to start your first module or based on when you want to start accumulating practical experience.

Our academic year runs from April 1 of the current year to March 31 of the next year. Your initial candidate dues cover either a full year or half year and are

  • $1040 + GST is due when you submit your admission application
    If you submit an admission application for the Spring or Summer session
  • $520 + GST is due when you submit your admission application (half the annual fee)
    If you submit an admission application for the Fall or Winter session

To register in a module without paying a late fee, you need to submit an admission application at least five business days before the registration period closes to ensure the admission application is processed with enough time for you to log into your portal and register. CPAWSB cannot guarantee that admission applications submitted within four days before the registration period closes will be approved in time for you to register in a module without paying a late fee.

If you miss the registration deadline and submit a CPA PEP admission application at least one month before the start of the module, you will be placed on the module registration wait list. The wait list fee is $310 plus GST (subject to change). If you are on the wait list, you can register for the module up until one week before the module starts.

  • University Degree
    Select this if you have completed (or will soon complete) an undergraduate degree from a Canadian post-secondary institution.

  • Master's Degree
    Select this if you have completed (or will soon complete) a master’s degree from a Canadian post-secondary institution. 
    Note: Ensure the master’s degree information appears in the education history section in your My CPA profile, and if applicable, your anticipated completion date.

  • International University Degree
    Select this if you have completed (or will soon complete) a degree from a post-secondary institution outside of Canada.

  • International Designate
    Select this if you completed an accounting designation with a non-Canadian accounting body that is a member of IFAC.

  • International Designate - MOU
    Select this if you are a member in good standing with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP), or the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
    Note: Please apply only after your transcript assessment has been completed.

  • Mature Student
    Select this if you do not have a recognized post-secondary degree and you are applying under the Mature Student pathway. 
    Note: Please apply only after your transcript assessment has been completed.

  • CPA Accredited Program
    Select this if you have completed (or will soon complete) a CPA-accredited graduate program such as the Master of Accounting Program (MAcc) at University of Alberta or Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc) program at University of Saskatchewan. 
    Note: Ensure the MAcc or MPAcc degree information and your anticipated completion date (if applicable) appears in the education history section in your My CPA profile.

  • Preparatory Course Graduate
    Select this if you are currently registered in the CPA preparatory courses and have paid CPA preparatory student dues for the current academic year (April 1 to March 31) and are now transitioning into CPA PEP. Read detailed instructions on transitioning from CPA preparatory course to CPA PEP.

  • Transfer In
    Select this if you are transferring in from a province outside Western Canada (BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon, Northwest Territories, or Nunavut).

  • Re-admission
    Select Re-admission if you are re-applying for CPA PEP after having been withdrawn.

  • Post-Designation Education
    If you are a CPA designated member looking to register for post-designation education (PDPA or CPARE), this registration category is for you.
